Kiara Kare-Blog-42Raw in Copenhagen-Raw Food

Kiara Kare® has been to 42°Raw, a restaurant in Copenhagen that serves delicious and gourmet Raw Food. 42°Raw is a contemporary interpretation of plant-based eating
where food is served in its most natural state. Untouched by refined sugar, dairy products and preservatives. We loved it!

What is Raw Food?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Uncooked, never heated above 42°C, and preferably unprocessed – as fresh (or wild) as possible and organic – no irradiation, preservatives, pesticides or GMO.
Generally, raw foodists eat at least 75% of raw fruits, vegetables, (germinated) seeds, (germinated) nuts, super foods and sprouts. What is Raw Food?

1. The enzymes in uncooked foods remain intact. Enzymes help you digest your food. Your body can create enzymes but the process takes a lot more of your energy.
2. When food is cooked its pH changes making it acidic. Eating acidifying food makes your body a welcome feeding ground for disease. Alkaline is the key!
3. Cooking food converts easy to absorb minerals into inorganic – harder to absorb – minerals.
4. Cooking foods destroys most vitamins.

What are the (health) benefits of eating a Raw Food diet?
More energy
Up to 3 hours less sleep
Weight loss
More beautiful skin
Clarity of mind and better memory
Improved immune system
Improved fertility
Prevent or even reverse diabetes
