Green juices and smoothies are full of chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and beneficial enzymes. They strengthen our immunological system, protect our organism and keep it healthy. They help us alcalize our blood’s pH value and eliminate toxins from our organism. They stimulate cellular regeneration in our tissues and organs.
Differences between juices and smoothies:
Smoothies are made in blenders, juices in slow juicers. Smoothies contain fiber which is beneficial for our digestion, while juices do not and are therefore absorbed much more quickly in our blood stream. Smoothies can be preserved up to 3 days in the refrigerator, while juices must be enjoyed as soon as possible in order not to lose their full nutritional value. Ideally we should combine the consumption of the two.
Smoothie: 1 lemon, 5 slices of cucumber, a little piece of ginger, ½ avocado, ½ stalk of cellery, a small piece of broccoli, 2 slices of melón (green) and a handful of spinach.
Juice: 2 handfuls of spinach, 2 slices of pineapple, 1 apple, a little piece of ginger.
